Chemotherapy and Cancer Care
Hearing that your beloved pet may have cancer can be very unsettling. We assure you that our team is here to support you both. Our skilled and compassionate doctors will offer many diagnostic options, from a thorough physical exam to cytology, biopsy, blood analysis, ultrasound, and radiology to obtain a prompt and accurate diagnosis.
If your pet’s test results indicate the presence of cancer, all of your treatment options will be outlined for you and discussed with the doctor. Because every patient’s medical needs are different, we will work with you to provide a customized plan based on an assessment of your pet’s condition, lifestyle, age, prognosis, and more. You will have the opportunity to voice your thoughts and concerns throughout your pet’s treatment, as our goal is to work together as a team for your pet.
As an advanced disease progresses, our efforts and treatments may become ineffective, but we will approach this challenging time together. We will explore different options, and can also offer a referral to Dr. Denice Norton and River Valley Gateway to provide in-home hospice and comfort care for your pet. We are here to help, and will provide support in every way possible for our patients and you—their loving owner.
