Julie - Office Manager
Julie grew up in the Grand Valley, but left when she married her husband who is now a retired United States Marine. They moved to Hawaii, California, and Missouri before returning to the Grand Junction area. Julie finds the veterinary field very rewarding, educational and challenging work. In her spare time, Julie enjoys crafting, outdoor activities, playing Bunco and spending time with her husband and three grown children whenever possible.
Cindy - Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant
Cindy is a native of Florida, but was raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She moved back to Florida where she met her husband, Dr. Paul Bingham while working at a local animal clinic. They joined families and moved to Colorado to be closer to the rest of their family. Cindy finds working in a veterinary office like Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital, which truly cares about the health and welfare of each animal, to be genuinely enjoyable. Cindy spends her spare time tending to their flock of sheep, hiking, camping, sewing, and being with her family.
Kathleen - Accounting Manager
Kathleen was raised on the east coast. She joined the United States Navy and served our great country for eight years. After leaving the Navy, her family moved to Grand Junction, where Kathleen became a certified Master Groomer. Kathleen volunteered with the Wildlife Rescue Team for several years and continues to help rehabilitate hummingbirds. Kathleen feels she is very fortunate to witness the healing of animals in need by our Doctors and staff. She enjoys getting to know our clients and their animals. Kathleen loves to spend her time at home with her four grandchildren and her pets. She enjoys gardening and staying fit physically and mentally. Kathleen says she plans to live to be 125 years old!
Carissa - Veterinary Technician
Carissa is a Grand Valley native and a graduate of Colorado Mesa University. Carissa has been working as a veterinary technician for the past 15 years. Her love and compassion for animals is very evident in her everyday work. She enjoys helping keep client’s pets happy and healthy for their families to love and adore. Carissa spends her time off with her husband and three daughters hiking, camping, four wheeling and spending time with her animals. She also enjoys showing her Champion Standard Poodle at dog shows.
Lori - Certified Veterinary Technician
Lori has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for more than 10 years. She has one daughter, two dogs, a cat, a guinea pig, and three goldfish. Lori has always been very passionate about helping sick and injured animals. She finds it very rewarding to nurse them back to health and return a delighted animal back to their happy family. In Lori’s spare time she enjoys hiking, biking, and hanging out with her daughter.
Katie - Veterinary Receptionist
Katie grew up in Michigan where she attended Michigan State University and received her Certificate in Equine Management. She trained horses for five years in Arizona and then switched to breeding horses for three years bringing her here to the Grand Valley. Katie enjoys the progressive environment at Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital and looks forward to seeing the clients satisfied after the hard work and dedication the staff and veterinarians put into keeping their animals healthy and happy. Outside of work Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking, cooking, four-wheeling, running and working with her own horse.
Darcy - Veterinary Technician
Darcy has always had a passion for caring for animals. It was not uncommon for a stray dog to follow her home from school as a child. She became a certified veterinary assistant and completed her internship with Dr. Bingham. She followed him and landed here at Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital where she says she cannot imagine working anywhere else. Darcy loves the obvious care and dedication our doctors provide to their patients and feels it is unmatched. Working with the animals at Arrowhead is what Darcy does for fun in her down time from her other full-time job.
Amie - Receptionist
Amie moved to the Grand Junction area from Pennsylvania where she grew up. She attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning an Associate Degree in Advertising Art. Amie adores working with animals and their people. Amie’s favorite part of working at Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital is being able to help clients and their pets. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their children. Amie has a dog and cat at home already, but wishes she could care for tons of pets. She also would love for her extended family to live closer.
Elizabeth - Veterinary Assistant
Elizabeth’s calling is helping others. She is a tremendous animal lover, so naturally her favorite part of being at Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital is the animals. She loves being able to work with a diverse animal population and being able to learn so much from our two incredible veterinarians. She has attended both Colorado State University and Colorado Mesa University and hopes to continue her education. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughters and many pets – cats, dogs, a hamster, fish, and a bird. Her favorite animal is any rescue animal, and all of her pets are rescues! She would love to build an animal shelter where rescue animals would have plenty of room to run and not be caged.
Ashley - Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist
Ashley moved to the Grand Valley from Roswell, New Mexico. She attended Eastern New Mexico University where she was working towards a nursing degree. She chose veterinary medicine because of her love of animals and desire to help them. During her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and her two dogs.
Holly - Veterinary Technician
Holly is a graduate of Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology where she earned her Associates of Applied Science, as well as Mesa State College and Colorado Mesa University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, and Bachelor of Arts in K-I2 PE. Her favorite thing about working at Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital is the lack of monotony – there is always something new and exciting going on. She loves working with the wildlife we see here and seeing friends that come in as clients. Outside of work she is busy raising her children, spoiling her dog, playing ice hockey, enjoying the hot springs, hiking, and camping.
